This is true. But it has no effect on the story and while she will be in your party she is essentially an NPC. So all in all, there's really no point.

Resident Evil 4:Do not aim for the heads as you progress in the game. Itll blow off their head, yes, but then a tougher, stronger monster bursts out of their neck that can instantly kill you if it gets close enough- and it is a long-range monster. Man, that makes me wanna dig out my PSX again and play Resident Evil Directors Cut/2/3... I used to be such a abdass at those games
