LOL this is fucking hilarious! but here's what i think is the funniest part: if the parents had done their "research" about the CD before they bought it, then why would they let their kids listen to songs like Haunted (which has the word rape in it, just like thoughtless does), and especially Tourniquet (which is obviously about suicide) and Farther Away has the word "whore" (ooo how offensive, i know) in it. whatever this is just stupid

I can understand sort of where the parents are coming from. Some people don't want their children exposed to profanity. This family might have been some crazed religious (no offense to anyone with that) family that doesn't allow their kids to go to school or watch tv.

The parental advisory stickers should have been on there.. no matter if it was only a couple of words.

But, I think it's pretty attention whorish to sue over it..especially for that amount of money. Maybe they could have just asked for a refund *shrug*

It is just a damn word. If that word didn't exsist, they would have no grounds for a lawsuit. So infact the exsistance of the word is a good thing for them. Where is the logic?

Fuck the judges who rule in their favor. That would be crazy. It was an oversight.

I can't believe you're acting like this is a fucking joke. I mean, what has this world come to? Letting our kids be corrupted by such words as "fuck", "ass", "whore", and rape. We should only let them watch the news, to watch people fly planes into our buildings and kill thousands of innocent people, we should only let them hear about the murder and crime on the streets, and all the drug wars. Don't let your children buy cd's or dvd's with cursing, because they will fail at everything they do in life.

I agree. The swearing does fit the song, however little swearing there is. There's absolutely nothing to throw a fit about. I mean, I'd understand if the girl were three, but thirteen...please...

ok, the parental advisory sticker doesn't go on for one word. it's applied if there's an excess. I have a "clean" version of a CD that still says fuck...but they took out the song that says "mother fucker" over and over again. the word used once isn't bad, as long as it's not in excess. ...and that's the way it has been for a long time. a suddenly it's a big deal? they just now realized this, so they have to throw out a law suit. somebody's fuckin greedy...why not just return the damn CD and leave it at that. you don't like it, you don't have to hear it. move on.
