I think it probably should have had a parental advisory on it. But to sue the shop you bought it from is rediculous. Its up to the parents to monitor what the children watch and listen too not shops like Wal-Mart. No offence to my American friends but since the whole Janet Jackson affair, poeple have gone into PC overdrive over the pond. Total madness.

Walmart can refuse to sell a product, right?? So it's not just WU and Ev's "fault". It's Walmart's "fault" too. If WU didn't want to put a parental advisory warning on the DVD, Walmart should've refused to sell it since they're supposed to be a "family friendly store".

Walmart only sells the edited versions of CDs that DO have a parental advisory. Without the option to pick an edited version they could have just assumed it was family friendly.

That won't hold up in court mind you.

Maybe I'm being stupid, but I think that this case is going to hurt Ev. Not just in sales but maybe in reputation.

But I swear, if WU and/or members of Ev have to get up in court and say something, then I'm seriously going to hurt someone. If it goes national..I'm borrowing one of Machinehead's weapons. lol.

Do you know why this is really, really stupid? Because I heard the word 'fuck' when I was about 11 in sixth grade AND I WAS IN A CATHOLIC SCHOOL WHERE THE WORD 'CRAP' WAS CONSIDERED AWFUL.

And like it was said before...I had no idea what half the words were when I first heard the song because Amy does not enunciate them very well. I had no idea that the word 'fuck' was in the song until I looked up the lyrics. And heard the original version. So the parents were either LOOKING for it or KNEW the lyrics.

You know...they should think about what this is doing to the kid. The kid probably doesn't mind, knows better, and I'm willing to bet that her social life is just about torn to pieces because of her parents' stupidity. I'd never talk to my parents again if they did something that dumb.

"Thoughtless" was the only time I've ever heard Evanescence swear in their lyrics - not even their lyrics, it's a cover - and it's just the two f-words. Big deal. I bet if those parents knew how many times a day their own daughter probably says the f-word they'd probably try to sue her too.

I owe my parents a lot of money so I probably won't be able to get "Anywhere But Home" untill Christmas. I mean, I'd pay whatever price for it, but Wal-Mart has it the cheapest I've seen it anywhere, so if they pull it from the shelves I'm gonna be pissed.
