Fuck. Ass. Oh, god how terrible. It's nothing at all, really. It's not like every second word Amy sings is fuck.

I was just thinking...this kid is obviously an Evanescence fan if she's bought the dvd for her birthday, and she's probably in love with Amy. So she probably has an interest in anything that has to do with Amy, right??

Like Amy's boyfriends band.

Someone should give this kid Disclaimer II.

What a crock of shit. Honestly, who cares?! I do not see what the big deal is. So they may have brought the cd/dvd under the impression that it was totally 'clean', and were a little shocked when they heard 'Fuck' in Thoughtless, but as a lot of people have said, just take the fucking dvd back and get your money back and maybe express your disappointment to the manager or whatever. You don't sue over this kinda shit (or apparently you do, according to these morons). God, the world has bigger problems than a 13 year old hearing the word 'Fuck' in a song. And why could they possibly want money? How is that going to remedy the situation? Getting thousands of dollars isn't going to erase their daughter’s memory of hearing the word, its not going to do shit. The parents are taking the moral high ground saying that they are disgusted that the dvd didn't have a rating on it or whatever, but then they go and try and scam all this money out of it. This is not about their daughter in the slightest.

Hearing a swear word is not bad at all, especially in a song. There are so much worse things out there that their children can be exposed to. Just look at Britney Spears and other like celebrities. They are part of the reason that 13 year olds are so skanky these days. I don't mean all 13 year olds, but I'm really concerned about the state of youth of today and I think its only going to get worse. I really worry about the world that I'm going to bring my children into, and I'm certainly not going to be concerned about my 13 year old hearing a few swear words in a song because I'm aware that it is just a trivial thing and there are other, more important things that, as a parent, I need to be worrying about.

I don't really think that Ev are going to be negatively effected by this. I don't think people are going to be all like: "Oh that band Evanescence has the 'F' word in their songs! We won't buy their cds!" And if people are gonna be like that, then fuck them. Ev don't need close minded people like that for support anyway.

Thank god my parents aren't total dumb-arses.

HOLY CRAP!!! I didnt even notice this the first time around... Haa haaa...that'll suck for all parties concerned. I hope everyone thats getting sued has been saving their pennies.

I still maintain that this is just silly. Kids nowadays learn curse words right out of the womb. (you think mothers are editing themselves while giving birth?! I dont think so...) Craziness. Besides, the true meaning of the word "Fuck" isnt bad at all. "Fornication Under Consent Of the King" is right! How is that so bad?

:::looks at post::: OMG!!! I've said "Word" and "Fuck"!! ::uts on best Luke Perry Voice::: "Ah, Cameran, YOUR SO SUED!"

Haa haaa...for real. "FUCKIT, i see you in me, FUCK IT i feel you in me, FUCK IT i heal you in me..." WOW, a whole song devoted to the word FUCK. :::sigh::: Freedom of speech is Great, isnt it?!! By the way...i now realise that Nothing in the BX is cencored. Haa haa..no sticker on the cd's or anything. Well, maybe hardcore stuff. But me Seether cd's didnt have stickers...Wow..gotta love the millitary. Hey, cursing is practically a national pastime for us. Without cussing, how would we relieve stress? We couldnt very well just go around killing eachother or beating things up. Yey for Expressive vocabulary!

AMEN! My little brother is 11, and he has girls in his class that wear practically nothing, and lbs of makeup when their not in school. And he goes to a Catholic school. Heh, for that matter, my mom had a patiant that was pregnant at the age of 9 by a thirteen year old boy! HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN?! I'll tell ya how. Sex is everywhere these days. Its just as common as Cursing now. Its something kids want to say or do to make them feel grownup. All it does is limit their possibilities. I am going to do all i can to bring my kids up right...but its not only up to me, but to society to see how they take to it, ya know?! I dont care if my kids say some words when their older...but i would rather them say ANYTHING than end up like that 9 year old girl, or the girls and guys i knew in highschool. I understand protecting your children...but sueing a musical group that has never even Met you kid isnt the way. Especially when it involves things that child hears far more times everyday in the real world. There is nothing inappropriate about Ev's cd. I'll bet you could dig up a few things in that kids cd collection that are FAR Worse....

How dumb can people get? Come on, rap artists don't get sued for saying "bitch, ass, fuck, motherfucker etc..."(omg! im gonna get sued for saying that!*runs and hides*), why does it have to be Ev that pays for everyone? I know its Wal-Mart that's getting sued, but it's not even an Ev song, its a KoRn song! pfffffffft people have nothing better to do...

Ummm get over it???

Man that is so pathetic. The Australian version of the CD/DVD has an M15 rating on it..... It isnt even their lyrics so I hope no one judges Evanescence badly because of this over the top BS.

Well, in their defense (sort of), you know what you're going to get.

Most of the songs on their albums contain curses and adult content and that's why they have the parental advisory sticker on it.

I have A Perfect Circle's Mer De Noms. It has only one F-word and so it doesn't have the sticker. At least the one I have.

I don't think that the parents are going to win all that much if at all.

I wouldn't see the point in making a completely edited CD if I were Ev. What's the point of making another version of the CD if there are only 2-4 things to actually edit?

Now, this means that the problem is with Wal-mart. Technically, and I don't know if any lawyers are members, Evanescence should not be held responsible, nor should Wind-Up or Sony. Wind-up has been listed as a defendant on this issue. Wal-mart made a choice to edit it on their website. Thus, they were the ones hoodwinking the customers. The real problem is Wal-mart's policies and deception. Ev and W-U have nothing to do with the Wal-mart choice. 'Thoughtless' was not a song allowed to be previewed in store on the machines, and it contains the only swear word(s) in the whole CD. The DVD is edited, obviously. Now, if they even try to bring some crap about Ev into this, the First Amendment will be happily crammed down the throats of closed-minded lawyers. If I would be so presumptious, I would legally advise Ev to stay away. This is not a battle that involves them.
It is the responsibility of the band, and label to make sure people know what is on the cd. NOT, and I REPEAT NOT WALMART.
Yes - walmart knew, but it's not their job to go thru each cd and edit it. It is the labels/band. They didn't edit it - they didn't put a sticker on it. T hey are the ones that are held accountable.

I'm not saying they should be, but that's how shit works.
