Best "band?" :?
They playin the Militia right now to a new beat with scratching...I think it's the Militia part II...the one with WC and Rakim. The Milita's a Gang Starr track... And now, they just put 50 and Lloyd Banks laughing...along to the beat of Pac/Biggie's Runnin (slightly altered, but pretty much the same music). Some new shit out on the streets...I'm guessing it's either on the 4th G-Unit mixtape or it's a new one, possibly a 5th already. Hopefully it ain't like the 4th one, where they just dissed Ja in the whole fuckin mixtape pretty much. But yeah, Whoo Kid mixed it or something, since he's going "Whoo!!" "Goddamn!!" in the background. Not sure if he was on the 4th mixtape, I don't remember. And now as I finish typing that (slowly :?), Threat, Jay-Z good stuff...I wish I could record all this (need to buy some tapes tomorrow) and put it on my computer somehow. |

The last song I listened to was Kane's old WWE theme. I was listening to it while I made the new banner.
Right now, though, I'm listening to "Glass Shatters" by Disturbed, which is one of Austin's themes.

Cormega - Beautiful Mind.
Probably a single off Urban Legend...set to hit the streets in march 04...Legal Hustle...indie.. Cormega said the album's gon have ghetto tales but with the beats of The Realness, same producers mostly, that same sound. I aint surprised the title is gon be Urban Legend, cause that's what his title is. I consider him to be one of the realest rappers out there, especially coming from QB. Been through it all - shot, lost ones, hustlin, just the street life. I admire him as a person as well. Although he pretty much hangs out with thugs all the time (his words) who carry guns, forcing him to wear a bulletproof vest at all times almost, he's still a great person. Very respectful of the hip hop culture and its roots. Hopefully he won't get shot and killed one of these days, especially if he gets a bit more mainstream (as he did with winning the Indepedent artist of the year award - source awards), like BIg L...in his prime. Cormega's had his prime, still does, but he's strictly underground and street. What's funny is all the fake cats out there say they street and they listen to 50. I heard some guys listenin to 50 at work today...he's street, sure, but his mixtapes are rip offs of current hit songs, same with Murder Inc with the wack shit they call beef. Yet these listeners who think they street have never even heard of Cormega, which is fuckin hilarious. Even on the west coast and if you listen to underground rap, particularly gangsta, you GOT to know who Cormega is. Shit, Knoc-turn'al is hot on the west and he's well known throughout the country. He's the best that comes to my mind, when it comes to gangsta rap (somewhat?). But yeah, Cali Agents have been in the game for a long time in LA I think, and theyre well known too. No idea, just rambling on :? but Cormega is what I'm listening to. Just in a weird mood now, life sucks. |

Coldplay - Yellow
What surprised me at first is a lot of rappers/rap listeners like Coldplay. I was on a Cormega board recently and a few peoples there, including the dudes who ran the site like Coldplay. Big fans of Coldplay (already mentioned this in a post slightly befo this one, but Cormega is gangsta rap - you don't always expect people who are into gangsta rap (by this I mean fans who KNOW gangsta rap) to like Coldplay, I would think. But people listen to anything so yeah, can't always made supposed judgments) And I know for sure that Jay-Z is a fan of Coldplay. So... ![]() |
