I just got a bunch of J-pop VCD's (noteable Ayumi Hamasaki, Yaida Hitomi) and right now I'm playing VCD 2 of Yaida Hitomi and it's on the song "Girl's Talk". I really like this song it's starts out with a steady slow pace beat and then out of nowhere it speads up and the whole song then gets real loud. This song is really good and even better watching a live performance of it.

I feel like there is a small number of us giving actual reasons for why we are listening to a certain thing (the only other person that I can really think of right now is cyra). ANYWAYS I'm now playing VCD1 of Yaida Hitomi (it has MUSIC VIDEOS!). I wouldnt have bought all these VCD's (well actually 3 of them were only 5$) if finding Yaida Hitomi music videos and live performances was easy. It's not she's japanese and not well known in the US at all. so I had to buy them, anywho it's now playing a live performance of "I'm Not Still Over". This song sounds like it belongs in the early 1930's it's got one of those old swing sounds to it, it's very cool and VERY different from anything else Yaiko has done (most of her music has lot's of guitars) |

Katy Rose - Teachin' Myself To Dream
This is one of my favorite songs, because it's a song about hope. My favorite line is "I'm teaching myself to believe in the things I don't understand, I don't even know if they're true, that's what dreamers do." Katy Rose is a brilliant writer, IMO.
