I just finished 'South of the Border, West of the Sun' by Haruki Murakami. I just love his style. I urge you all to go out and read anything by him.
Now I'm reading White Oleander. I didn't expect to be engrossed in it immediately, but I was. Quote:

I just started The Boleyn Inheritance by Philippa Gregory. The Queen's Fool is still my favourite by her so far, but we'll see.
I finished reading Tipping the Velvet by Sarah Waters last week. Very good book but I have to say, I rush-read the middle section because I didn't like it so much. The start and the end are great though! Soon I want to read Hannibal Rising by Thomas Harris..

is re-reading lirael by garth nix of the old kingdom series. strongly recomend hunting his books down

Well, I haven't actually opened White Oleander for two weeks or so but in that time I did manage to read two or three teen-girly books, and I'm currently re-reading Memoirs of a Geisha. I love it so.
