i read the german version of "rosie dunne (für immer vielleicht)" by cecelia ahern this weekend...
Rosie Dunne is a touching look at what happens when "the one" always seems to be just a tad bit out of reach Ahern (PS, I Love You) uses letters, notes, e-mails and instant messages to narrate her poignant second novel about thwarted love and missed opportunities. Plucky Rosie Dunne is infatuated with her best friend since childhood, Alex Stewart, but Alex has always been oblivious. After he moves from Ireland to the U.S. with his family, the two keep in touch, planning to reunite—first at Rosie's prom and, later, at college. But Rosie has the kind of bad luck you see in the movies: Alex's plane is delayed, and so Rosie attends the prom with "Brian the Whine," who promptly knocks her up. Rosie decides to have the baby, thereby missing her opportunity to study hotel management at Boston College and hang out with Harvard-bound Alex.

I've just finished a autobiography that my doctor wrote here in New Zealand. It's such an inspiring book about her disturbing childhood and teenage years were she was a stoaway, raped and much more. She became a sex worker and has turned her life around and is now a successful doctor. I'm going to read her second book about after she becomes a doctor which is supposed to be just as shocking with suicide attempts, bankrupcy and finding out her son is a sex offender. Check her website out at www.laurenroche.com they are truly amazing and inspiring books by a wonderful person and my doctor. Just amazing!!!!! Love her!

"Double Eagle" by Dan Abnett. Air war in the war torn setting of Warhammer 40,000 between the Imperium of Man and the Forces of Chaos. Great Dogfighting and arial combat writing. I wish they would make a tv or anime series after this.

I've just barely started and it's already fascinating..."Piece by Piece". It's a Tori Amos biography/autobiography. Seriously, if you like Tori at all- this is an amazing book. Scratch that. Even if you don't like the woman, it's still interesting, IMO.
