My mom and dad love Ev! Whenever we're in the car and I have the Fallen cd with me, my mom's like "put in that 'bring me to life ' song, jess", it sucks that BMTL is the only song they like, but I can't really complain, they like it... They also like a lot of my music...

But I'm sure they wouldn't have liked EV very much because my Dad was
into Tammy Wynette and my Mom was into whatever my Dad was into.

But they would not have objected to me listening to whatever I wanted,
they were very open and understanding that way.

They would just yell every now and then..."turn that CRAP down!"

I guess my parents don't mind evanescence, i've made them listen to the cd a few times when we were on holidays, and they gave me tickets to see them in January (how much do my parents rock?! lol) so I guess they can't hate them. But it's not like I expect them to like evanescence either - I mean, they have their own tastes.

Actually it'd be an interesting question to ask them....cheers

My mom used to love Evanescence. She had me get her a copy of Fallen and she listened to it for a couple weeks (this was way back last summer). Then all of a sudden, I got really into the band and she stopped listening to them altogether.

My dad has said all along that "all their stuff sounds the same" and he makes fun of me for listening to them. This makes me wanna kill him of course, lol, but lately he's taken a liking to My Immortal.

With both of them I get really bad looks when I listen to Ev (which is like all the time...oops) I think my parents think I'm going to turn gothic on them. Oh...AND! They're determined to find Christian messages in Ev's music. My dad thinks Taking Over Me is a christian song. Oh, God. No pun intended.

listened to my copy and got one for herself. She likes the music but depends on me to keep her updated on info and news and stuff. My dad isn't into them but thats ok...

who are well Dad is just about 50 Mom is 51 but to me they seem younger

They have loved EV since day 1 when i 1st heard them and played their song for my parents......They watch all the videos and they watched Hard Rock Live...Jay Leno, David Letterman etc........They think they are really talented......Then again they like all the music I like.....Which is a wide variety....My parents are cool

Anyways, well, my mom came to the Auckland concert with me, because she didn't want me to go alone and no one would come with me. But she agrees with me that Amy is talented and understands my love for the band. lol She thinks I'm going gothic though, but whatever. She doesn't mind my taste in my music. Even though she still prefers her Kiss, Bruce Springsteen and all that... But I don't mind it so much myself either though. Rolling Stones all the way.

I even managed to get my brother used to it as well, which is a shock. He hated it though when I played my Daredevil CD, it was a little too hard for him. lol

As for my dad, all electric guitars are noise to him and he wouldn't have an idea who Evanescence is. He always forgets and when he saw the Fallen cover, he was like, "What a scary girl." I screamed at him for insulting my idol. lol But whatever, he still listens to the Vengaboys, so I can easily say, he has no taste in music, whatsoever.

My parents like Evanescence. My dad borrows my Fallen cd sometimes. He's the one who bought it for me, the day after it came out. My sister also has Fallen (she's 9) but she didn't get it until just a few months ago so she used to borrow mine too. My mom borrows who ever's cd that lets her. She love My Immortal alot and Bring Me To Life.

My parents get kind of annoyed sometimes though, they think I talk about them way too much. Everytime I'm on the computer my mom asks "Are you on that evboard again? You were just on there this morning."
