My mom really likes Ev. She loves all their songs, and is coming to the 7-15 concert with me. My dad doesn't really like them, but he doesn't make a big deal about it. Sometimes he teases me about my obsession, lol, but he never tells me to turn it off. I think he's just glad I'm not obsessed with Britney or Christina, lol.

My mom says that I need more in my life than Evanescence Yeah...and she says this as I'm walking out the door to go to a rehearsal for a show and, after that, to do sound for another show (my job ). Yeah. lol. She doesn't care much about them, but she REALLY likes My Immortal.

My dad is cooler. He thinks that they're good and he agrees that Amy is amazingly talented. He's the one who helped me get the Cartoon Network clips onto his computer and up on the web lol. He's not really into the music though...like he doesn't want to go to a concert or anything. But he will listen to it on the radio and he'll keep his ear out for news (and listen to me when I have news to tell lol).

So yeah...I DID try. lol. But they're alright...they got me both the Ev tank and the Ev hoodie for my birthday So it's all good.

About my dad... last week he asked me a cd of a band called ''Evniscinci''... I laughed a lot... he hates Evanescence, but his friend likes it... so I selected some musics... it´s funny how ''old'' people like the band... it´s a sign that Evanescence is the best band ever!

Yeah, a friend's mom asked me to make her a CD of some of the older Ev songs. She said pick the best ones. I said that that would take up seven CDs lol. She's very cool though

I've met a lot of unexpected people who like EV. A person who goes to my church, a man who sings for the Metropolitan Opera, really likes them. This man I know who works at a recording studio in my state (my theater group has recorded with him, and he plays drums at some of our shows. Coolest. Person. Ever.) loves them, too.

Oh yeah...and the (really old) woman who directed the opera I was in raves about Amy's voice and the band. It's quite amusing

My mom "CLAIMS" she dont like them but ive caught her a few times trying to take my Origin and Outtake CD(that I made of old/outtakes ev songs) and take them into her car. and I found that she downloaded My Immortal for a ringtone. My dad..eh..everytime he comes over he says "is that all you listening to?"

Lucky they listen to you, my parents pretend to listen but they don't, they never listen to anything I say!!!! I asked my mum if she could buy me an Evanescence Tshirt or something but she has a thing with buying over the internet, but she does it all the time for her own stuff. Plus it's soooooooo expensive to ship overseas it's rediculous, but I'm going to keep nagging her!

My mum hates them. Well, to be more specific, she hates Amy - I won't repeat some of the names she's called her, but safe to say they're not pleasant names. Personally I think she's just jealous of Amy because she's always trying to sing and everyone else tells her she can't sing well at all (which is 100% true), so she resents and is jealous of any female that can sing well (e.g. Amy, Dido, and in fact every single female singer I listen to). As for the guys, she just doesn't like them in general, she thinks they're 'rough' because they have tattoos/piercing etc. As for the music itself, again, she can't stand it. She usually calls it generic/pointless/talentless etc etc. The only Ev song she doesn't complain about everytime I put it on is My Immortal - but even then she still complains 50% of the time.

Thankfully my dad doesn't give a damn so long as I don't play Ev really loudly - which I never do anyway.
