He gave up on controlling what I listen to years ago anyways. I think I must be a lot older than most of the people here.

My Dad thinks they're pretty cool and it was so funny cuz today I was driving in my car with my Mom and I put on Whisper and she goes "ugh, you've got ME liking these guys now"! It was really cute. Both of my parents have accepted my obsession and think it's funny. My parents rule. Lol

Meh, I posted before. Didn't work. Let's see if we're 2nd time lucky. My mum doesn't like Evanescence, but she doesn't hate them. According to her anything other than Slipknot and Cradle of Filth are o.k with her. As long it isn't blasted throughout our street.

My parents aren't really bothered, but maybe because I'm 19, so they can't really stop me form listening to anything. Then again, they've never stopped me from listening to anything.

I know my mum is getting a little sick of me listening to the same songs over... but I've caught her singing along to them too!! lol She came to the concert at Wembley with me last Monday and *embarrassing moment*... at Bring Me To Life.. she stood up, with this other woman next to her and they were shouting out "wake me up" as they threw their hands in the air.... *looks away in embarrassment* lol

Anyway, my dad is less into that kind of music. He calls them "evan-sence" it's kinda funny... he'll never get it! As long as he doesn't stop me listening though, it doesn't bother me!

So yeah... my parents are cool with it :-)

in my dads exact words he said she sound like a "moaning bitch, and someone that is constantly crying".... BUT! .... then i was playing ev's old stuff and he didn't know that it was them, and he said " oh that's a nice song".... so i was like laughing..... well he actually doesnt say anything about ev... he hates linkin park and KoRn though.... but yeah....... i think deep inside he knows he likes em, but he just can't admit it..... he he he .. he absolutely hates my immortal cause he's heard it sooo many times..... *looks around innocently*

The first time my mom heard MI she told me "That's a very lovely song", then the next few times she asked me what the song was about because Amy seemed rather sad and because she doesn't speak english, finally she got sick of it and told me "THAT song again?!"... She now knows Fallen's going to be my all time, never changing favorite cd.
My dad asked me "What's the girl whinning about?", he listened to the song and said "That girl needs a boyfriend" and then left. I didn't like the comment but it was funny the way he said it hehe... But when he saw EF he told me Amy looked hot
The only one that hasn't made a bad comment about Evanescence/Amy is my brother. He's not crazy about Ev but I heard him sing Going Under the other day.
I know deep down my mom & dad love Evanescence, they just don't want to admit it

Hehe my mommy is funny. She doesn't LOVE Ev, but she sings along all the time, makes up the words when she has to She just asked me to burn her a cd and asked for Taking Over Me and My Immortal. She also really likes Broken.

Both my parents think that Amy can really sing, and my mom thinks that she's a good rolemodel, which is nice. I have, however, had to withstand lectures that Ev eventually got brought up in.

But overall, they're cool with me loving Evanescence. Yay.
