Hmm my Mum doesn't hate them but she never asks to hear their songs either.Although she once aksed to read the lyrics to My Immortal. But that was just once.I don't see my Dad often enough for him to (dis)like Evanscence. He just wanted to know how to spell it so when he went overseas he knew what he was looking for
.So altogether nobody really cares what I listen to,but my mum does get offended by swearing-bizarre. |

My p's hate rock music in all its forms but they don't really care what I listen to. Mum listened to Fallen with me though, and said she didn't like Amy's voice because it sounded like she was straining to sing. GRRRR
As long as I'm not deeply obsessed, it doesn't bother them. My brother HATES Ev and he actually convinced my dad to keep me from going to their concert in January because of the goths and 'druggies' that would be there. I was pissed and I still am! |

i think he realised that amys naturally beautiful and maybe he likes her a bit (which i find cringy...) he even put up a huge ev poster in the kitchen i dont think my mum has a problem with me being an ev fan. ive matured ALOT since i first started listening to them so if i have changed its been for the better. |

Some of your parents sounds so cool.
.. But my parents .. sometimes i think they are from different planets than me. But i'm not sure what they think about Evanescence. Our music taste is completely different! I think my mom likes my immortal. But that's it. She or my dad don't understand english.. Sometimes when mom is angry at me and I'm on EvBoard, she's like " Don't you have anything better to do than chat in that satanist site??" Satanist?? Dad hasn't said a word about Evanescence.. except that " turn that music down. " But it's ok. I don't really mind .. It would be weird if my parents would be obsessed by Evanescence.. ![]()

my parents dont really mind it...my step mum though, loves it...mainly how she describes herself in such detail...
to start off with, i dont know if she liked them as when i had it on, n i think the lyric was -ive been living a lie, theres nothing inside...she was like, she needs god! (my step mums a christian) but now, she doesnt comment on the lyrics, but listens to them in more detail, n i can sit there n explain to her what the writer of the song was thinking when they wrote it, n what they take it to mean... she even brought the fallen music book which annoys me cos i suck @ piano n i wanna play the songs lol |

but yeah, they both love Ev which is good because i can listen to their music really loud without bothering my parents! |

My mom DOES worry about me sometimes because I seem to be over-obsessed. You can't be over-obsessed. But she likes most Ev-songs though. And my dad? He doesn't care. As long as I keep doing the things he wants me to do. He sucks.
