Basically, my mom is still giving me crap about Evanescence and Amy even long after I am not a hardcore fan anymore! Sucks, really. I was really into the band a year ago, but since the new developments...well...you know. Anyways, my mom hated Amy, complained about her voice, hated the fact that I dyed my hair black, became gothic although I later discovered that true goths are entirely different anyways....hmmm....oh well. My dad just said he found the videos of Going Under disturbing...I was like what?

Seriously, some parents need to respect their kids tastes in music, instead of complaining about it - I bet they wouldn't like it if their kids complained about their music choices.

Cause when fallen came out I think the general veiew was that Evanescence were "Goths"
- Now I see the erroro of my ways, true goths DON'T listen to Evanescence! At least, not thier new stuff.
But my mum used to tell me I was obsessed with Evanescence..now I hate the new album, I've found other bands to gawp over...hehe ^^
Both my parents hate Evanescence's music though, and all the other stuff I listen to

My mom likes three songs, she likes BMTL, My Immortal and Good Enough.
I don't know about my dad because i barely see him and the rest of my family are not bothered by Ev. Now i'm a big fan of Marilyn Manson and my family is afraid of him XD lol

The one major thing about Ev's music, it couldn't be as close to the
truth as it is.
As well, it does send out a great message, some people just don't hear the
words correctly, or really understand what its real meaning is.
My family is taking more to them, my nephew, Zachary, who is now eleven,
he likes them alot, because he loves what I love, the pounding of the
guitar and drums!!
My nieces are a bit to young yet, to really understand them.
My sisters, and parents, and brother like them, well only certin songs.
But I am proud of Zach, he even has some of their songs, on his Ipod!!
