Fallen era: My Last Breath (Demo CD alt take version)
The Open Door: Like You
Ev LP: Er, really not a fan of the album. Over the course of my six listens, I'd probably say My Heart Is Broken and Swimming Home are the only major highlights for me. The latter's probably a bit of a controversial choice, but it comes as a welcome quiet relief after loads of unremarkable, discordant thrashing.

If you really want to name a typical Ev song, IMO you have to pick one for each era/album, because they all have a bit different styles. But still hard to decide... I'd say..

Pre-Fallen era: Lies, Field of Innocence
Fallen era: BMTL, Imaginary
TOD era: Weight of the world, The only one
Self-titled album: MHIB, Oceans

so these are my suggestions

It depends on a lot of things, because for instance if you are too in love Good Enough is the perfect one. Here are my favs:

Pre-Fallen era: Field of Innocence, Before the dawn
Fallen era: BMTL, Tourniquet
TOD era: Lacrymosa, The Only One
Self-titled album: Lost In Paradise, The Change
