hey all.. i'm pretty new here and just wanted to give you a proper introduction. i'm 21 from long beach, california. avid music lover of all genres. obviously ev tops the list, along with citizen cope, imogen heap, and this new guy mikal blue who i adore. i feel like i'm writing a personal ad in the paper, so i'm gonna stop here. hope to meet some of ya soon..

Welcome to Evboard. Please be aware that insanity and fun lurks around every corner. During the duration that you are here, please keep your hands/fingers on your keyboard and mouse at all times.

A welcoming committee member (the one with the big, bold yellow user name that will soon arrive) will be assigned to you shortly. This person will assist you with strapping you in securely as a precaution in case you fall out of your seat laughing, and give you advice as to how to survive this ride.

Prepare for sudden, abrupt changes in topic, occasional locals wishing to have your hand in marriage (This is perfectly normal; simply distract the local by smacking him with a rubber chicken (which does not come included with membership, sadly), and various laughing fits. Occasionally there will be debates and you are welcome to join in. Just beware of the smart ones. ()

Please be aware that no food or drink is allowed here; only in the Evboard bar are you permitted to eat and drink. Since you are of age (YES!) you are permitted to indulge in the many rounds of happy drinks that will be offered. If hungry, ask our famous grill master for a burger or something. The barmaids that you'll see will be happy to serve you a drink..(or two...or 10...). Beware the whip.

Do not remove your seatbelt or clothing garments while on this ride.

Try Searching for topics before starting a new one. There is quite a history on evboard and it's really easy to overlook something. You will also notice little green or red dots under users names. Those are reputation points, you can read about them here. You may have also noticed that your posts don't show up right away. This is what is called a Moderation que. Basically the Moderators checks posts for new users for a bit just to makes sure that their posts are appropriate for the board. It kinda weeds out spammers and trouble makers. Any questions about signatures can be answered here and here. You can find out about avatars here. You can leave feedback in the noob feedback forum. And check out what it's like to be a noob. It's very informative.
If you have ANY questions at all, feel free to pm me and ask. If I don't know the answer, I can definatly find out what the answer is.
