I would really have to say the last part of the open door album. To be specific it is the songs: Like You, The Only One, Your Star, and All that I'm Living For. It is clear that those songs truely were her therapy. My favorite is Your Star. I can see into her when I listen to that song. Everything she (and evanescence) stands for is the darkness, she can be deeply lost in the darkness but wants to stand up into the light. That is perfect.

Surprisingly I would put Good Enough on my list now too...at first I didn't like this song, but now it has significant meaning to me and really speaks to my heart...it always gives me this sense of contentedness amongst turmoil and I just give this wry smile...the opposite of the fake smile as I feel I sometimes had to smile (like in Everybody's Fool)...donno if that makes sense but yeah.

Well, All of you have good points, for me, i have a few, i would have to say:
Forgive me Exodus Anything for you Breathe no more Give unto me Away from me(I really felt this song where i have never felt before) I relate to all of those except for Exodus. But Exodus is such an awesome song that is very deep. I am so sad that evanescence is quitting. They could have made so much more... |

Personally, the Ev song with the most depth for me would be "Your Star" because that just really works on so many levels for me, and you can really feel her heartache when she sings that, not to mention that the message behind the song is one that is probably deeply personal but yet, one where many people would be able to relate to.
And yeah, i think "Like You", "Imaginary" and the "Last Song i'm Wasting on You" are all incredible in their own way. i love all their songs anyway! ![]() |

For me, the deepest songs on a personal level are "Like You," "Hello," and "My Immortal," because they remind me of my Grandma, whom I was very close to.
On another personal level, "Bring Me To Life" is deep to me. I told a friend of mine once that song an video reminded me of our friendship. I was an emo little 13-year-old who didn't have many friends, and he was always there for me (and still is). I was never sure if he realized how much he meant to me, until I told him that about the video and he said, "Except I wouldn't let go." ![]() "Lithium" is also pretty deep for me because I definitely see the battle within myself in that song - knowing sadness for so long that you don't know who you'd be without it, but wanting to let it go and be happy at the same time, so you're trying to find some sort of balance between those two extremes. I also like "Tourniquet" because...well, all I can really say is been there, done that. Having that battle inside too, something else I know too well about. All of their songs are deep, but those are the most emotional for me, I think. Of course, all of their songs are emotional for me on some level. ![]() |

I definitely think the deepest are in this order:
1. Like You 2. Missing 3. Understanding 4. Hello 5. Field of Innocence. Like You is one of my favorites of all time, out of any artist. It just... speaks. Sends shivers up my spine every time. |
