Oh... there's so many songs!!!... i thing all of them is very meaningfull... i find myself in many of the lyrics..

Missing, lithium, breathe no more, my last breath, even in death... you name it !!

I mean it's hard to pick out just a few.. everyone's great!

Well it depends on who you're talking about it being close to. If you mean close to the singer, I'd say the two songs about her sister.
But I like the song even in death. Pretty deep because it's six feet under. Haha I went there.

The song that really means the most to me is My Immortal. Not only are both the lyrics and the music beautiful but just the message of the song I can imagine relates to so many people, including myself.

Hello and like you. They are both talking about the death of her baby sister and I know what it's like to miss a sibling that deeply. it's so weird how people treat their younger siblings sometimes, they like hate them usually. I miss my little brother all the time. It's not necessarily the whole thing with it being about her grief being for her sister as much, as it is just her showing her grief in a way that is so beautiful.

Oh God, toughie.

I don't think you can call any Evanescence songs shallow so it's not simple stuff narrowing it down... although I personally think Amy's stuff is deeper than Ben's, just because Ben's a storyteller (see My Immortal and Haunted) while Amy talks about her own experiences. It just seems to come off as more raw and real than Ben's stuff...

Okay, so, I've narrowed it down to one song per era.

The EP days (before Origin): Understanding.
Origin: Field of Innocence.
Fallen: It's a tie between Hello and Whisper.
Open Door: Like You.

To me I would have to say that Breathe No More is the deepest song. It really speaks to me on so many levels.

Although Amy wrote the song Haunted.

As for deepest, I also say Breathe No More. Well, it's a tie with The Last Song I'm Wasting On You. These aren't my favorites, but they get to me on the deepest level.
