I've been waiting for this for a while too. i even set my phone to remind me the morning it comes out

I wonder if there will be expansion packs for this one in the future too..

in the faq on the sims 2 site it says that there will be no expansion packs for this one. Sims 2 comes out this Friday here in aussie so i cant wait, ive been saving for ages!

see..i knew there would be expansion packs. these expansion packs should rock..

edit: ok, i was looking at the stuff you need to run the sims 2 and i was wondering where i would go on my computer to find all that stuff..like how much video ram i have or if i have a 800 MHz processor or better..

No it doesn't, it says 17th

It says the 17th on the HMV and Virgin websites too.

You can right-click on the My Computer icon on your desktop, and hit properties. It should give you all the information that you need.

It got an 8.9 (Great) from Gamespot. And the site along with EB Games says it's out today.

So that must mean they'll receive the game in stores later tonight or tomorrow morning. So yeah, technically it's out tomorrow in the US. I for one won't be getting it, cause I already got Def Jam: Fight For NY pre-ordered and comin out next week, along with Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Burnout 3, and WWE Smackdown vs. Raw still left to pre-order/play

but the Sims game looks good!
