Which is better? Fire Fox or IE? And a few other nerd questions. - Page 6 - EvBoard

I adore Firefox. I.E. would ALWAYS freeze on me. It was a pain in the ass. I also didn't like having so many damn windows open at once. Firefox lets you use "tabs" for one window, with each website you visited contained in each tab...that's probably the main reason why I use Firefox over I.E.

It's a refurbished computer. I wonder if downloading it over again would solve the problem. I've never heard or seen Firefox behave so poorly before.

IE also comes with tabbed browsing. However, you'd have to update your version of IE, because it was a new feature that was added. When I was using IE, I wouldn't have been able to stand it if I didn't have tabs. I'm pretty sure that tabbed browsing is a standard feature for browsers now.

I've been using only Firefox for the last few months. The other day, at my mother-in-law's, I had to downgrade back to IE for a couple hours because she doesn't have Firefox installed...I though I was going to go crazy. I don't know if it's IE itself, or if all the computers I've used that have IE just suck. But honestly, Firefox just seems to work better than IE about 99.99% of the time. Love it, I would never go back to IE.

Anyone here ever used Opera? I'm curious about it and all the apps it supposedly has...eh. I'll have to Google and see what's up. And I'll also Google that Google Chrome thing that Jane mentioned.

Oh really? Ha...I haven't really updated my internet explorer in years, so that's probably why I never noticed
