Wich guitar amplifiers can reach the sounds of Evanescence?

Hi Everybody!

For a long time I am trying to find out what sort of guitar amplifiers can reach a sound like Evanescence. I know that Ben Moody uses the Line6 HD145, but that piece of equipment is way to expensive for me. That is why I would like to ask you guys how to reach Evanescence sounds with an amplifier that does not cost more than 400-500 dollars. I think the Vox AD30VT is nice(nice price also), but I am not sure if I can reach Evanescence sounds with this amplifier. I have got an electric guitar (Ibanez SA120) with 2 humbuckers so the guitar is not a problem. Thanks for reading and hopefully you will know an answer to my question.

I have the 30w Spider II and it's pretty good... But since you have a higher budget, I think that one's the way to go...

Really it depends on who you're trying to sound like, because the Terry, John, and Ben have slightly different sounds. I still cant figure out quite what Terry does to get his sound. John and Ben are fairly close, Ben endorsed (or did) the Spider II and it does get pretty close. (Its the only amp that he ever wanted to make "Sweet dirty love to.") They are fairly inexpensive and good quality amps. Keep in mind though its not just the amp its your fx and guitar. I know Ben used many, many different fx both in the studio and live. I dont think I'm helping any...but there you go.

Thanks for the reply's. So I am able to get a sound like Evanescence (Ben and John) with a Spider2? Are there any other amps also that can create a sound like them? I want to have a amp that can be used in many types of music. I play mostly rock, but a nice clean sound is also an absolute must. I know that the amp is not the only thing that is an influence on the sound. Guitar, fx and also the way I play. But I want to come close as possible.

I know that John is currently using a Vox Tonelab SE (multi-fx) but I do not know what sort of settings he is using. I know that the Vox AD30VT has many amp models and effects wich the Tonelab SE also has. But I am not sure if the AD30VT can produce that much distortion like Evanescence. But I will deffinately keep the Spider2 series in mind. Thanks for the advice! And if somebody else has another advice for me.... you are welcome te tell
