Here's a screencap one I just did. I suck with text and working with the black and white and adding text on top of it kinda sucked cause the text would blend with the background and make it hard to read. So I put a black background behind the screencap and added the text overlapping both the picture and background. I suck at text, but I kinda like this. Hope ya'll do too. and don't mind the white outside. it's supposed to be transparent. but well it didn't quite do that.

Here's a picture I took with my camcorder when I was trying to figure the darn thing out. I took this around the middle of March when we had the only real snowstorm for this area for the year.

^ That pictures really beautiful. I hate winter, yet that picture makes me feel warm. I think it's the lovely browny/green colors

All of the snow and ice was melted within about 2 hours of the time the photograph was taken. Winter is beautiful, but it's just too darn cold for me.

Here is a poem I wrote for the EvBoard writers group.

Hero

You called my name
I acted like I didn't hear you
You walked over from across the room
I ran as fast as my legs could carry me

you were different
i was afraid of you
all you wanted was a friend
and i ignored you

you passed away one day
and I read what they wrote

a wonderful hero
he was an awesome father
his bestest friend
a wonderful husband
who would give his life in the end
to save our poor boy, he took a chance
burns and scars on the outside.
but the man I fell in love with on the inside
There are those that were afraid of him
because of his appearance.
just one chance is all he asked
they balk and run... from the man that I love.
Love Maggie and Brandon

I read these words and tears begin to flow
because I never gave a chance to this wonderful hero.

I remember reading this poem in the Evboard writers group and it truly moved me.

There's such a sadness and vulnerability to it, but you really feel a closeness to the man (hero).
