something I put together for a birthday wish. i would do more but time only allows me to do some once in a while.

also the ribbon/link for Hurricane Katrina. and the slight edit of the Out of the shadows logo are some things i've messed around with.

all of those pieces are really cool. You are very talented. I really like them all, for different reasons but I love the second one I think it is. Great job!

Do you have anymore like this? I could never great a grip on pastels.

I might have to get back into that after seeing this!

Thanks Orgo. I don't have any other pastel pictures. I've dabbled around in it some, but not alot. That was 3 months of hell to do that picture. My teacher wouldn't let me quit. That picture was created in 1991. I HATED IT and anything to do with pastels at the time*lol*.

Don't I matter
This is a poem I wrote a few weeks ago, I was going through some stuff and some realizations in my life. I didn't finish it until today, so it may not flow as well towards the end. I'm not a poet, but it's my thoughts.

Don't I Matter

Don't I matter to you anymore?
you walk by as If i'm not even there
I scream
I plead
I ask for your forgivness
But you don't hear me
You're with her
and it tears me up inside
I cry
the tears stream down my cheeks
I can taste them on my lips
a salty kiss
because of you i hate myself
Don't I matter?
alone
afraid
contemplating
wishing
wanting to end it all
confusion takes over
emotions run rampent
Tormented by your image
I go on
But I don't matter to you anymore
Time passes
tears and feelings begin to fade
I see him
he gives me renewed hope
because of him
I feel wanted and needed
no longer feeling alone and afraid
i have a new love for myself
and i realize
You don't matter to me anymore

Amy Lee came on the msg boards a few days ago asking the fellow artists if they would come up with a logo for the Out of the Shadows Campaign. The first logo was made in Illustrator. One of my favorite programs. The second one was done in photoshop. I'm not sure what she'll think of them, but I am very pleased with the second one.

Great work... especially with the digital coloring, a lot of those were done very well. I had a quick comment though (real reason for my post), I'd enjoy it if the next time you posted your work, you gave more of a description and information regarding the work. Nearly half of them you said nothing, and a lot of the media pics you just said that they were for a coloring contest. I'd personally want to know more about what exactly you did (before and after pictures would also be more effective).

Also, I'd like it if you explained more about the mediums you used for each piece of work and just what you were trying to accomplish... what was your intended purpose for the artwork at hand? (Even what kind of techniques you used.) I think that's a lot of the information that I would like to see along with just the pics... it would make it more interesting, and you might teach somebody something!

Here are a couple of nature pictures I took with a child's camera at the local zoo. I loved how they turned out. I used regular 35mm film
