I was messing around in illustrator trying to work on some logo ideas. I came up with this. I did the design in adobe illustrator then opened it in adobe photoshop and did the colorization of it. I figured I would try for an origional logo for my signature.

Is the logo supposed to be anything in particular? I studied it and I must have a one track mind, don't laugh at me but to me it looks like it could be the outline of a voluptuous lady - or it could be a Butterfly. Looks nice and flowing whatever it's meant to be.

This kinda emerged tonight as I sat here. It's a bit deep and I'm not a good writer. but here it is.........

Regret and Remourse

Alone in the shadows, I hear a familiar sound. My eyes wonder the room looking for the source. My mind tells me that it can't be. It's been almost 15 years. Still his voice haunts my thoughts. Every night I hear him whisper to me, "Why did you let them do this to me." I begin to sob, remembering that fateful night. I was 16, young, naieve. I didn't know any better, I thought that he was the one, that he loved me and would be with me forever. The first time with him, it wasn't my choice, I was forced. The things he did gives me chills to think about it. Why me I cried, Is this how love is supposed to be? I didn't know any different. Days passed, then weeks. I found out I was carrying his child. Not a child created out of love. I hated this man for doing this to me. A child, a sweet innocent child. He was furious when he found out. He drove me to that horrible place. I can see the doctors telling me it'll be ok as they put me under. A little while later they said it was a success and that he could take me home. Not a day goes by that I don't hear my baby laughing, my baby crying, my baby whispering to me, asking me "why did you let them do this to me." I cry myself to sleep, alone in the shadows.

Wonderful and strong. I'm not a writer at all but I really felt that one.

Neat job on the logo. There's a trick I know with Illustrator that allows you to copy vector objects and paste them into Photoshop as Paths, Pixels or...something else. I know current Adobe tech allows you to open proprietary files of Illustrator (.ai) and Photoshop (.psd) in either application and modify the work. The trick I'm talkin about though is pretty handy for what you were doin'.

I can do a screen cap of how to set that up if your curious.

Sure Craig, I'm open to any and all suggestions with photoshop and illustrator. I have an associates degree specializing in photoshop/illustrator, but our teachers sucked ass when it came to teaching that stuff, so i basically know what's in the tutorials through adobe and illustrator from 1997 and earlier. And my drawing needs worked on tremendously. I bought a book about drawing faces realistically. I would love to be able to do some of the stuff you do with photoshop. So any tips, I'm willing to listen to and try.

And thanks, i'm not a writer either. I'm not quite sure where that came from. I just started typing and out it came. It's not something that happened in my life. But after reading another post last night, i opened up note pad and started writing.

what do you mean by 'not a good writer'? this is awesome! I really loved it, it kept my attention during the whole and I enjoyed the concept as well... loved it...

Thanks Loneca. I was inspired last night after reading a story written by Scott that he had on his page. The two concepts are totally different. I opened up notepad and this is what I ended up with. I'm glad you liked it.
Okay, so i'm working on doing some blends in photoshop. This is my first try. So be kind. it's still a work in progress. I notice a bit more out of photoshop that her arm kinda glows.

Okay, i was inspired by a picture that Alarandiia posted in another thread. I got to thinking about the bed being empty and something missing. My daughter walked into the room and I thought about the little girl she was named after. This is a short lil poem about the little girls life. Nothing major. But I had a good cry out of it, which is what I think I needed.

So young, so pure,
innocence lost
a gift from god
her heart and lungs so weak
how can something so perfect have everything stacked against her
angels and light
renewed hope at the age of four
free of tubes
freedom to run
now age seven
she's ready to go home
a blizzard engulfs her home
she is calm
a familar scene
her body weakens
she reassures her mother, father and brother
that she will be alright
she closes her eyes
for eternal slumber

in memory of Kalana Elyse 1990-1997

inspired by a song. some colorization in the picture. The career I have, I work with the elderly. I see people die on a regular basis. I also see what torment the familes go through. To me, this pic shows a man taking his final walk to join his late wife. The lyric is part of Kisses in the Rain by Alarandiia. This verse sticks out to me in the song. I saw the song representing two lovers and the pain that is endured in a relationship when it fails. When I saw this picture, it brought a new meaning to it for me. Not sure if I make any since at this or not.
