Were sunsets really that dark? I like the effect that you're playing with... it's really nice, but because both of the colors are so dark... it's difficult to tell them apart. Honestly, I've never watched a sunset in Virginia, so I'm not sure if that was what you were trying to capture or not.
As it is right now, from a "Virgina Virgin's" perspective, the dark colors make it difficult to see any objects in the picture as a whole. I'm not sure if the entire picture is supposed to be composed of the ocean, and we're viewing it from overhead... or if you were trying to go for a view where the horizon brings the ocean and the sky together. Definitely play around with the tones and the colors more... and just concentrate on making it more recognizable. Mmm... and looking at it again, I think that your colors might be a little too saturated (both of them). I think that's something you'd had in mind. But all in all, I still wonder at how you're able to do anything like this in the first place. It's really fantastic. End.

It basically represents the ocean where the water meets the sky. No objects in the picture at all. 3 colors and their varrying shades. Black, Crimson and Blue. |

Mmm, makes perfect sense now. When I'd looked at it earlier, it didn't strike me as a sunset... most sunsets are obviously varying in color and brightness, but it was sort of dreary.
However, like I said before your technique is great, and the experimenting you did is really astonishing. My only suggestion now would be to make the sky bit not quite so watery. I think that if you made it more cloudy as opposed to watery, it would be a lot more recognizable for what it really is. I think that making it a more familiar picture to an audience would also help them understand the emotion and the feeling that you've put into it. Because I know I would feel the heaviness in my heart if I could look at it and see a sunset... albeit a dark bluish-crimson creation of one... it would accomplish that goal. End.

That one that reminds you of a sunset is amazing. It looks so great. The colors are amazing. It looks beautiful.
The one that looks like ice is great too. You're so good at that kind of stuff.
