Well, I was talking about this with my friend last night when we all found out about his departure, and she said, "That'd kinda ruin the strong female thing ya know?" and I said, "How?" and she said, "Because being the only woman in the band she juts seems..stronger somehow. With another female, it'd kinda ruin it. Because there'd be two females you'd have to acknowledge and idk. It would seem weird."

But all the best. If there's a female bassist, that's fine. I have no problem with it, but it'd be so different. Another female in Ev, that is.

Well, I wasn't expecting that.
It's always sad when a member leaves the band, but we've all gotta do what we think is best, so I wish Will well in his future endeavours. I don't claim to've known him at all, but I did want to post my 'condolences' as it were.

Funny really, in a random sort of way, I was dreaming of joining Evanescence earlier (fell asleep reading a book) so I couldn't believe this when I read it, I honestly wondered if I was still dreaming.

Thanks Amy for the update & the sad news about Will, I honestly, can't wait to see your tour in the UK but at the same time I feel guilty, because it does kind of put *your* lives on hold whilst you tour as you've explained. I will definitly be one of the first in the queue to buy tickets as soon as I know what's going on with dates & venues, in the meantime, I guess, I'll just *have* to go out & buy "The Open Door" as soon as it's released

Understandable, but still really weird.
A shot in the dark but, do you think he might come back sometime later?

It's really sad to hear such a thing .But if Will really needed to pass more time with his family,the only thing we can do is wish him good luck and hope that he'll find happiness.I'm very glad that everything is ok with the group.We,Greek fans are dying to listen to the new album!!!!So go on like this!You rock guyz!!!

Sad news indeed. Will's departure will be a great loss for all of us, and we're gonna miss him a lot. But we have to understand his reasons, and move on, waiting to see the new bassist, and hoping that he/she is as funny and talented as Will is.
Best wishes to Will, and that he can make his dream come true.
