First they had a break longer than 2 mins which is not allowed.
Second, though they skated great they still made a few minor mistakes: JUST AS OTHER 3 PAIRS BEHIND THEM.
Third, other 3 pairs didn't make any mistakes as bad as this fall and were not that much behind after the short programme.
Well, I heard other specialists' opinions and they said the pair had deserved their silver medals, though >2 mins break is against the rules indeed.

I was watching the mens moguls finals today, I was a bit sorry for the poor bloke who had gold the whole way through until the last guy to go took it from him

I kept scaring my friend by pointing out Kari Traa every time she was on the tv because she's the only athlete I know by face

Hahahaha, then it's ok then

The UK won her first medal today, a silver in the bob skeleton, woohoo! The UK doesn't win much in the Winter Olympics, soooooo it's a cool thing for us I was definately cheering the girl!!

Because the UK hardly ever wins anything, I'm usually supporting Canada in everything oooooor, I just pick the person that I want to win based on a performance, lol!

I don't know, I am sort of disappointed with Plushenko's performance in figure skating.

I mean Evgeni was the best today, a head, well no, 3 heads above anyone else. He is in Super League while the others are in League 2.

But he was worse comparing to his usual self. He was very tense, very stressed and didn't show this full of emotions show that he usually gives. I didn't recognise him, he wasn't himself. I didn't see the usual flamboyant, outrageously funny, adventerous guy who enjoys dancing.
I guess he was playing it safe this time keeping in mind Salt Lake City fall. I can't blame him for that... but I expected more

I still can't forget Alexey Yagudin's dance from Salt Lake City. That was something extraordinary.

Similar to what I thought actually, I thought it felt a bit flat compared to what I know he can do, with more passion than what he did tonight, hmm...

I think it's also partly due to the new scoring system though. It doesn't award artstism and originality in the same way as the old one did.

I still can't make up my mind if I like this new system or not. On the one hand it is clearer. Each element is judged separately and scores are added up. The more good elements you have the higher the score is. At the same time it allows falls: only 1 point is deducted for that. Plushenko was 10 points ahead after short programme. It means even if he fell 9 times but performed all his other elements on a good level he would still have won

I think it should be more like this
Fall - 3 points
Under-rotation - 1.5 points
Not completing an element planned - 0.5 points

or something similar
