Is it me or does Bode Miller come off as prickish? IMO, I feel like he basically threw his chances to win rather than even try and that's not the Olympic Spirit...because whether you're expected to win or expected to place last, you want to win. Did the Italian Women's Hockey Team phone it in after getting beaten 16-0. No.

Don't even bullshit yourself, you want to win regardless of expectations. And then he blames his own fans and the media on his expectations. There's no denying that underneath all of the bullshit that he's extremely talented as a downhill skier.

It's not that those who experience winning a gold medal are changed for the worse. That's only if said winner wants it that way. All I'm saying is, he could have handled the hype better rather than do it through Nike commercials.

The snowboard corss has just finished. And Wow, that was so dramatic. I don't think I've ever seen anything like that.

Three runs out of 4 ended in crash

In the main final Lindsey Jacobellis was way ahead of anybody else and on the last 100 meters when she was sure she would win gold anyway she decide dto show off and ... fell. Tanja Frieden overtook her and stole the gold that was almost Lindsey's As BBC commentator said, "This will be in the history of sport bloopers for a long time"

I watched that entire event, and I was like o_O omg!! That's what you get for trying to show off I guess. I feel a bit sorry for her, but I feel happier for Frieden indeed, I wonder what she thought when she saw Jacobellis sitting on the floor, bet she was thinking "YEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!!!!"

My own reaction was "ooohhhhhhhhhh my gooooooooooooooooooood!!!"

That was drama indeed, I love the snowboard cross, anything can happen!

*goes cross-eyed* they're showing the freakin' CURLING again!! I don't give a crap if there is a British team in it, people want to watch something way more exciting than sliding a stone into a circle!! How unpatriotic of me

It's a bit of a contrast, the excitement of snowboard cross finals with the extreme dullness of curling... it almost makes me want to do my work for uni...

Oh how I miss interactive tv, I only have terrestrial tv here and it sucks!! I want my Sky Digital back!!!!

Yes, indeed! How dare you call yourself British after that?

I am watching everything on the internet. You can do it if you have any British broadband. You can watch the same digital channels there. But there isn't much going on at the moment: only curling and the repeat of yesterday's figure skating. If not for snowboard it would have been a very boring day

I sort of feel sorry for Jacobellis: for the rest of her life she will be remmebered only for that, even if she wins Olympic gold 5 times in the future. Poor girl!

At the same time it was all her fault that she decided to brag about her victory before she even won. She can blame her own vanity only. It a good lesson for the future athletes of how not to lose.

Haha,.. curling rocks Am I the only fan of that sport/game? I pissed myself when Jacobellis showed off, haha... If I find some photos of it, I'm gonna make one of them "priceless" humor-thingies. She must hate herself right now...

Hahahahaha!! It'd be more of a problem if I'd ever really described myself as "British"....

I don't have broadband here, only dialup, 'cause I can't afford broadband, boo! Guess I'll have to live with the curling (which they're showing again!!!!!!! Grrrrr) until it's finished!!

Yeah that'll be the defining moment of her career, unfortunately for her...

On another note, I was watching the bob skeleton again, wow!! How fast they are

I can hardly stop laughing when I am watching women's curling. It looks very much like floor-sweeping competition among housewives
