Finally here!! I missed this thread a lot!
I know that the Spanish concerts are really far now, but I need to do my little chronicle too, lol.
Poppy has said a lot about the Valencia one. I'll just add that:
Ruud remembered my name!! When he saw me he looked with a 'I know who you are and I'm thinking your name' face and:
- Hm.. Stephanie?
- Nope.
- JESSICA!!!
*so happy* lol

Also in Madrid we gave a present to Sharon (yesterday was her birthday) but we didn't know if she kept it cause it was when they were greeting to the public after the show and she thanked us (with a happy face) and gave it to her bodyguard to follow with the greetings.
So in Valencia I asked her if she liked the present when she was signing the girl that was next to me.
She looked at us and recognized us. She greened and said: 'YEAH! I'm gonna make a special Christmas tree this year. (our present was a set of 7 Nightmare Before Christmas heads, really cool).

What more... Jeroen told us again that we are crazy. Roberto said that they will be playing a lot of old songs in Amsterdam aaaand he and Sharon said that might be playing Say My Name. (here is when I started crying..)

And I think that's all at the moment, I'm uploading my pics now (and videos, I don't know how they sound though :S). I'll post them later!

Hm, I posted without read at all because I thought I hadn't time, but now I've looked a bit and those pics are great! She used the Angels corse with the long skirt. Looks cool and doesn't make her seem like she's pregnant, haha.

I'm having a lot of work with the photos, they are huge! lol And the sound of the videos suck, I'll try to clean them, if I can't I'll upload them anyway with a huge advice: turn the volume almost at 0!!

I Love WT, no more that Evanescece, but I have a special feeling because I see the band in Madrid; in the concerts are very very brilliants.

I was watching the Angels video again yesterday, and it REALLY does not suit the song. The song should be all like blue and stuff, and with angels and things! Like the cover artwork for Angels. Even other people I know that don’t even like WT as much as I do were saying to me how its weird how the video is set in the desert.

Oh and one other thing that’s always bothered me, is (I don’t own the CD so I’m not sure if this is true) but why is the ‘intro’ for mother earth like track number 8 or something, and not at the start? Is this true? Its really weird then…

Me and my mum commented about that after I first showed her the video (she likes peeking) and a desert and the whole preist idea was definately not a 'fitting' idea.

Well from what I gather track number 8 (Intro) is just an intro for Dark Wings (track 9) because during the lives concerts they'd have Intro and then go straight into dark wings cos when I listen to it you can tell at the end of the Intro it fits straight into Dark Wings and if you're not paying attention you won't actually spot the track going from number 8 to number 9 tis very weird but hey...it's the dutchie way

also a funny thing I found, Mother Earth was written about Sharon's cat that died the day after she had it for 16 (cats live that long?!) years. lol. and then she found another one on the freeway to the recording studio hence the lyrics "she gives and she takes" hahaha. totally random. i need to find that interview again!!

The cover seems to me like an invitation to enter the heavenly world of WITHIN-TEMPTATION with the voice of SHARON as guide. But for me, behind this dream-fantasy side the lyrics hide some more realistic messages. It’s like to read a fantasy tale delivering messages you can transpose to the real life. Could you explain the topics of some songs (Mother Earth, Caged, Deceiver Of Fools) and could you tell us where you find your inspiration ?

Sharon: Mother Earth, was written on the day my cat died. Maybe that is silly for some people but it was not for me. I had her for all most 16 years and I was really attached to her.
The day Robert started his first day in the studio I brought him by car. On the freeway I saw a little kitten beside the road and I had to stop otherwise it would have been killed. I took him in the car with us and he is still with us today. He was allowed to be in the studio while the cd was recorded. (Mother earth she gives and she takes) (hahaha)
Caged is about a woman who fell in love with the wrong kind of guy. She finds her self in a situation she never thought she could get into. When she realizes this it is all ready too late, blinded by love she did things she would normally never do. (It is a made up story).
Deceiver of fools is about people with extreme kind of thoughts or religions. In every country we have this kind of people. When things are not going so well economically in a country than people are starting to listen to them and they forget the values they stood for.

Also for any Nightwish fans Sharon said a nice remark about Tarja.

Don’t you think that your new album leads you sometimes in the same landscapes than RHAPSODY (for the epic-symphonic side) and NIGHTWISH (for the lyricism). You’ve already played with them at the BIEBOB METAL FEST last year. Do you appreciate them ?

Sharon: From both bands we have a few albums, so... I was totally surprised by the performance of the vocalist of Nightwish. Her performance was really cool. I guess some guys might get scared. She rules on stage.
