Yeah, it was Nightwish in the UK, then Lacuna Coil and Within Temptation came along - and Epica is trying to make the transition as well. Evanescence was popular here too, around the BMTL single release, but they didn't really keep a hold of it, and other bands took over on the metal scene.

Nightwish is not Gothic, please... And the latest releases of Lacuna Coil and Within Temptation are not metal, either... I think each band has its sound... In terms of popularity, I think Evanescence is first, Within Temptation, Nightwish and Lacuna Coil last... Just saying...

Well within is not as accessible as Evanescence or the latest lacuna is. Even here in france, WT will probably never be diffused on our 'big' radios (while the same radio broadcast Evanecence with no pb). Even if Silent force is not as 'metal' as the previous one it's still not enough accessible to be 'mainstream'. And anyway , I don't think that being 'popular' is a specially important thing, they are in the netherlands, and I think they as enough to make their living of music etc.
By popularity here , i will say Evanescence first , Nightwish second, within right after and lacuna latest. After , all the band like epica, After forever are not comparable in term of popularity at all.

last weekend i finally bought the dvd and watched it but i couldn't find us, have you?
