I've been MySpacing to anyone who will listen. I hope they have found a few new fans which would certainly help them make up their minds to come to Australia!! ![]()

Rez Photography cover a lot of WT gigs. There were a load of great Eindhoven ones on their site. No doubt they'll cover the Ahoy too.

I'd like to know if there any WT message boards out there, popular ones, besides the official site? Anyone know a fan who has their own site they'd like to recommend?

There's a fansite thread on the official forums....try there for some good links Interview with Sharon and Never-ending Story: After the release of the albums “The Silent Force” in 2004 and “The Heart of Everything” in 2007, Within Temptation became one of the most well-known metal bands with female vocals around the world. In recent years the band has done a lot of touring – they have visited several countries in Europe, Asia, North America. Russian fans have been waiting for their turn quite a long time, but the long waiting was not in vain: the first Within Temptation Russian concert will take place in Moscow on February the 17th. On the threshold of such important event HeavyMusic.ru and Within Temptation Russian fansite Never-ending story have contacted Sharon den Adel in order to learn more about the album “The Heart of Everything”, about videoclips and upcoming shows: First of all we’d like to ask about Robert’s health - at the begin of January tour it was announced that Robert wasn’t able to take part in it due to unfortunate accident when he has severely bruised his right thumb. Is his hand better now? We wish him to recover from this wound as soon as possible ![]() His hand is getting better. thanks! :-) In 2006 was announced that Within Temptation have written 3 songs for the game “The Chronicles of Spellborn: one of them was “The Howling”, released on the “The Heart of Everything” album, and “Sound of Freedom”, released on the “Frozen” single as previously unreleased track. Is it true that there is one more song, written for “The Chronicles of Spellborn”, and all these songs would be released on a special EP? There were 3 songs written for the trailer of this game and two of them are on the album. The song 'sound of freedom' became only a b-side track of a single. “The Heart of Everything” was recorded with the Prague Philarmonic orchestra – did all the bandmembers make a special trip to Prague for the recordings, who had done the arrangements? Stephen and Martijn went to Prague to guide the orchestra. Martijn wrote the basic arrangements but also hired two arrangers to make it more classical and understandable for the orchestra. The choir for your previous album, “The Silent Force”, was recorded in Moscow; has anyone of the bandmembers went to Moscow for these No one went but we communicated by sending each other MP3 recordings about our ideas. The orchestra and choir were one. The title and lyrics of composition “The Truth Beneath the Rose”, one of the most impressive songs on the album, wakes strong association with the Dan Brown’s bestseller “Da Vinci Code”, where this word combination is a very important part of the mystery; weren’t the song and its lyrics written under impression of the book? We were inspired by the “Da Vinci Code”, but a is a little bit different from the book/movie. Sharon, the lyrics of “Our Solemn Hour”, “The Cross” and “The Truth beneath the Rose” are linked to the theme of Christianity; on the cover you hold in her hand symbols of different religion; is the theme of religion and belief one the main themes of the album? They are linked to religion, but that's not the main theme. The main theme is ' what is important in life to you as an individual? For everyone else that is something different if we skip health, family etc. It's more about the second level of important things in life. What has influenced you during the work on the album? Robin Hobb inspired us with her book about the Assassin's Apprentice of the Farseer trilogy when we wrote the song 'hands of sorrow'. Besides symbols in your hand, there are a lot of other ones on the cover of “The Heart of Everything”, among them the band on your eyes, so the image reminds on Femida, the Roman goddess of justice; the white doves.. Who is the author of the cover, what is the concept, that connects all the symbols? The concept is to be as honest and objective as possible when you decide what the heart of everything is to you. Erwin Olaf is the photographer but the idea of this photo came from us. The symbols show how much choices we have to choose from. In your opinion, what could be called “the Heart of Everything” of our world? That's the thing, it's different and personal for everyone. Within Temptation have already released 3 singles for “The Heart of Everything” album (4 singles, if to count “The Howling” EP which was released in United Kingdom), do you plan to release another one single for the album? Maybe but there's nothing planned. You have filmed two videoclips for “What Have You Done”, why did you make such a decision? We were given the change to make two, but in the end we liked the second one best. In the first version of “What Have You Done” video the scenes with the band performing was filmed in London, and you have invited your fans to take part in it. Did you like working on the video together with your fans, how went it on, how long did it take to film the scene? It worked great with the fans. The scene took about three hours. We had to shoot from several different angles so that takes more time than people might think. On “Blue Eyes”, which was released on “What Have You Done” limited edition single, one can hear oriental melodies; what is the story of this composition? In 2005 Within Temptation performed on the festival “Desert Rock” near Dubai, isn’t the oriental influence on “Blue Eyes” connected with the impressions of this visit? There is no connection to the festival in Dubai. The lyrics are about the Middle-East conflict. The basic idea behind the lyrics is that; if you don't offer the youth of today and tomorrow a way out of the misery that surrounds them, if you don't give them any hope how can you be surprised that some will give the ultimate sacrifice? How useless and cruel it might seem for those they take down with them? I don't says that we approve, we don't but still everything isn't that black and white. There are also 2 live songs on “What have you done” l |
