Until WoW and Ragnarok Online are both officially released.

(For those that don't know, RO has been under beta testing for over 3 years. You know it's going to be good when they put over 3 years of beta testing into it.)

WoW will and that is what I am referring to. I mean Diablo COULD be considered an MMORPG in a sense. Plus, most of Blizzard's games are Strategy anyways. Neither Diablo, nor Diablo 2 are worth playing online anymore because either the lack of players or because of too much damned hacking.

BTW, I know that Blizz games don't require a fee to play, as of yet. I have been playing Blizz games online for about 4 years or so, although I suck so bad at the strategy games.

I've been hearing about Ghost for forever, but I'm way looking forward to SC2.

My dream is to work at Blizzard. I don't care if I spend 4 years at a Major Tech school to be the coffee boy there. It would be time well spent. I think they are the best gaming company out there, and I really, really, really reallyreallyreally want to work them.

eh *shrug* dunno...... i've been playing EQ for well over 3 years now off and on... SWG hasn't quite beat it yet. I know several people that left EQ for SWG and then came back not too long ago to EQ. *shrug* But WoW is definately looking like it's going to blow EQ out of the water, and not even EQ2 (which should be coming out soon as well) will be able to compare. *shrug* we shall see what happens i guess.

As for Diablo and Diablo 2........... boring, beat them both in under a week, including expansions... fun first time through but after a while just repetitive. Much rather play Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 and their expansions and the Icewind Dale set as well heh... still have yet to get Neverwinter Nights *grumble*. If Black Isle ever got around to a MMORPG i'm fairly sure they'd put all others to shame ;p.

Well, they do have to maintain the servers, and continue to pay devs to update the game content on a regular basis, and hire extra employees to deal with customer support, and if it's a game with ladders and/or ever-changing classes and content, someone has to admin the web site and documentation for that. Trust me, if you didn't pay a monthly fee, there wouldn't be a consistent world to play in. (Unless you make the initial game cost like $200 or something.)

On a completely unrelated note, Dark Age of Camelot is THE best MMORPG I have ever played (hated EQ with a passion!)... Unfortunately, it has also got the WORST customer service and stupidest powers that be I have ever seen...

Heh, DAoC ...... WAS the best, and only for about a month...... I played it for about 5 months... and the way they kept trying to "balance" the classes was horrible lol, also the player economy there is terrible... in the end they took a lot of great ideas and such about the game and ended up ruining a lot of them through subsequent patching. About the only thing it has EQ beat on is they still have a better PvP system (but then again the game was designed mainly for such), graphics, and the fact of no "zoning" well most times heh..... but when it comes to gameplay and such, class structures/balancing... they still pretty bad. Mind you I'm goin from techie and gamer perspective here..... also lookin up statistics as well. it may be your opinion that DAoC is the best heh, but goin off statistics it's actually rather low on the list..

Hence my disclaimer about them having the worst powers that be...evar!

I'm very excited about WoW. From all of the interviews I've seen, it looks like they'll finally do everything right (for an MMO). I mean, imagine a game with the addiction/fun factor of Diablo, immersive fantasy world of WC, and replayablity/longevity factor of MMO-ever-changing content...by Blizzard. Roar.
