World of Warcraft

for those of you who have followed the Warcraft series since Warcraft 1 or 2 came out, and have played Warcraft III and the expansion, the sheer amount of giddiness is enough to overwhelm even the strongest person.

What I mean is, Blizzard is coming out with a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG) called... you guessed it... World of Warcraft.

my words cannot express how awesome this game looks. All I know is the more I see pictures and articles about it, the more I want 2004 to get here.

wow.warcry.com/content/history/
-- go here for a semi-lengthy yet interesting history for anyone who needs to brush up on the historical aspect of the series. a good and necessary read.

sit back, grab a Pepsi, look at the pictures, read the articles, watch the eye-candy trailers, and watch the time fly by. 8)

Starcraft is a great game, and better for large scale battles.

But I like fantasy better than science fiction (although I love them both), and I also enjoy the strategic elements in Warcraft III more than Starcraft.

Heroes and magic. 'nuff said. 8)

I never got into Diablo because I hear it is extremely addicting, and wastes away your time like no other. Being a casual gamer, I forced myself to refrain from entering the world of Diablo.

World of Warcraft is going to own, though. The Blizzard staff has had their families and friends test it out for them, and the testers have logged more hours in WoW than the programmers themselves! There's been nothing but positive feedback surrounding this game.

let's see:

-Blizzard has always come out with quality games.
-They just get better and better
-WoW and Starcraft:Ghost are going to be incredibly awesome.

it can be concluded that Starcraft 2 will blow Warcraft III away.

yup, I'm with ya there!

Well, personally I wouldn't play many MMORPGs because they all require money to play. I think that is bullshit and the first time you pay for it should be the one and only time that you pay for a game.

I have heard that Galaxies sucks fat nuts. My friends that used to play EQ say that it sucks really bad.

The ONE AND ONLY MMORPG that I am considering playing is City of Heros, but there is no telling when that is going to come out.

Usually I make it a point to own things that say Blizzard on them, but I to am opposed to subscriptions. As of now I'm looking forward to Starcraft: Ghost much more than WoW.
