Angels wept the night she died, at least that’s what everyone has said. Still they do not know that she still roams among them. It’s all thanks to him, her immortal beloved. The story has been told in many different ways; for thousands of years there was at least one new version written of a love that never died. There is that one of a Juliet and her Romeo. A Tristan and Isolde, but this one is so different. Absolute different.

They met one summer and quickly the summer turned into an everlasting winter. She was a princess, beautiful pale white skin, raven hair, and piercing dark eyes. No wonder he fell in love with her. He really wanted her for his own, unknowingly, she wanted him as well. He was one of those handsome knights that are portrait in stories. The looks of a prince charming, he had them. White skin like the snow, hair the color of sunshine and eyes as blue as the morning sky. So easy to be loved and trusted.

The caress of his hands across her body made her tilt her head with ecstasy and awake a feeling she has not felt once before. Love, she whispered in his ear. Immortal, he whispered in her ear. They kiss, tasting each other in their lips. Kisses so much more passionately that those of their youth.

We will live again my love, we shall be among the mortals again, she whispered in her. With that, the moribund girl took the stake and once again she dies. From a distance, among all the mortals he stood and watched the scene. His tears ran and froze until he stood next to his beloved. Immortal beloved, please don’t die, he whispered to her. She felt his tears and rose from the ground.

A smile rose again from her lips and she finally saw their nightmare coming to an end. Mysteriously she saw her old body disappear and there stood her brand new self with her everlasting lover. We won’t die my darling, we can’t die, she thought. I know, we are immortals in a mortal world, he thought. They continued to converse with their own thoughts.

Angels wept the night they died, at least that’s what the mortals say. Still they don’t know that they still roam among each other as the immortal beloved.
