The first thing that came to mind when I was listening to this song was the comment Amy made on here a while back about being stuck on lyrics for a song and finally writing them at the foot of Terry's bed in the ICU. I may be wrong about it being this song, but that's what it made me think of.

In any case, this song really deserves more love than just two pages! [ETA: 3 now :P]

Yeah, it definitely does. For sure one of my favourites on the album!

I really love this song once you hit the "I'm alone" part...it's fantastic.

This reminds me of something put I can't put my finger on it..

This song is obviously the song that was inspired by Terry's health scare....
The whole thing about by your bedside, and Lisbon was probably where the even occured....it's a moving song...and yes, the choir rocks..just like on every other track...OMG, the Open Door has moved me to tears...I think it is soo beautiful.

PS: Anyone know what the choir is chanting?

Anyway, the "I can't see your star" part is a bit annoying, but I really like the chorus. It's pertty.

'Find your own way out'. i like to hear that line when i hear the song.

Yes, there are not many posts in this thread but it looks normal to me. It's just loneliness - you feel it and you can't do anything. You can't think, you can't talk, you just stare at infinity...
Haven't you ever thought at night that somebody's watching at the same star as you? Sometimes the stars are the only thing connecting people and not seeing "your star" makes you feel like the loneliest person in the world.
