I didn't care for this one much at first. It's grown on me a bit. I think the use of choir in this one is very effective, as opposed to distracting. It makes it kind of epic. I really enjoy this one, lyrically. The guitar, while nothing special, fits. The tinkly piano parts are sweet, and the ending is pretty awesome.
But for some reason, it still seems lacking.

The organ during the chorus is the exact same as the organ in "Where Will You Go?". You know G, F, G, Ab?
And this song along with Lose Control really remind me of the Fugees as far as far as the beats go.

Your Star is basically a very unique song. The piano work was awesome, really amazing. I didn't like the beginning of the song, but now I consider this song to be one of my favourite songs of all time, including the other songs.

that's the first thing I thought about when I heard it... "I can't see your star, the mechanical lights of Lisbon frightened it away" - where was the band when Ben left? I knew it was somewhere in Europe...not sure if it was Portugal "I CAN'T see your star" - Ben's "star" perhaps... Amy's guiding star...He's gone...she can't see it anymore... "and I'm alone now...all in parts in pieces, swim lonely" - the band afterwards "all my fears turn to rage" - c'mon!! Last edited by aa1216 : 09-10-2006 at 04:17 AM. |

I wish they'd done one of their accoustic concerts here... *sigh* I love this song more and more. It's the intro, the piano, the emotion... Amy's voice. It's one of my favs, no doubt. |
