This song really hit hard for me, probably the hardest of all the songs. A few weeks ago it ended with my ex-fiance. It was and still is a very painful break-up, we had a lot together and he was storta my "star" and guided me into the relationship as it was. My view on it is:

I dont really care for the beginning of this song, but I start to like it at the 1:45 mark. I also like when the piano plays its little solo at 2:33. It rocks! and then the guitar starts playing like the piano. ooo I love it!
And I really like when the choir comes in and it sounds all freaky and stuff. This may be my favorite on the album.

IMO, this is the Whisper of the Open Door. I love the epic ending. I like how about every instrument is playing in this song's outro. It's amazing. I really, really want to hear this live. I'm wishing for a live CD, like they did for Fallen, cos I'll never be able to go to an expensive concert, 3 hours away.

I still can't get over the organ. I love the choir, also. The only part was the beginning that threw me off at first, but it's been growing on me ever since. I still don't understand "Though I patiently waited, bedside, for the death of today" part. It doesn't seem put together. It sounds like random words put together, but it's great. I need to find out where Lisbon is located. Someone who knows, please tell me.

Meh, too few people like this song. Haha. This song is, by far, my absolute favorite song on the entire album. The beginning is a little 'eh', but after 1:20, it enters a world of awesomeness.
![]() My favorite part is when the intricate piano solo comes in, then is joined by the guitar, and then is taken over by choir. The "So far away....All my fears turn to rage" part. And then after that it is one huge freaking symphonicgasm that reminds me of Nightwish/Epica ![]() The orchestration is awesome, and the piano + guitar + choir combination is just fantastic. The vocals are cool, but it's the big symphonic sound that makes this song so good. I am really, really, really hoping that Amy plays the piano for this song live. The piano part is just too good for her to let a background track play it. /my two cents. |

I have to agree with Katya; this is by far the best song on the album!
The beginning is kind of piercing and plaintive, but I like it because it's so raw. I especially love when the "...And I'm alone now" kicks in. It's just so sexy and bluesy. I also love the piano breakdown, but the best part is the end. It has this kind of fun, party-like atmosphere, with this kind of Portugese flavour. ![]() A very great song!

the chorus in this song reminds me of that old, old slave song, "Wade in the water" i like it! lol, this is my favorite song, i think, (its hard to decide) though it starts off piercing and cold, it turns out to be warm and powerful at the end! the organ and fast piano perfects it!
